Il chitarrista cubano Rene Izquierdo presenta un fantastico album il cui titolo preannuncia un percorso musicale attraverso la sua amata terra d'origine.
Ritmi incisivi, temi sognanti, sonorità tipiche sudamericane sono alcuni tra gli elementi che proiettano l'ascoltatore immediatamente nel suo mondo cubano: "Son del Barrio" apre questo viaggio con il suo ritmo che travolge e Rene sfrutta molti dei colori della sua chitarra per rendere l'idea di quanto variegato può essere il suo "quartiere" e la vita in esso.
La molta precisione tecnica e i temi così incalzanti fanno scorrere le tracce come fossero mete raggiunte e superate.
Rene risulta essere sempre impeccabile e preciso nell'intenzione musicale: non c'è brano che lasci spazio a dubbi su cosa intendesse l'esecutore; la sua precisione lo colloca tra i migliori interpreti della scena chitarristica.
Sono alternati momenti nostalgici, malinconici ad altri sorridenti e vivi come può essere la propria terra d'origine in cui si torna dopo tanto tempo.
Se ne consiglia un ascolto accurato per cogliere quei dettagli timbrici che caratterizzano poi l'interpretazione di Rene.
Immancabile l'inserimento di composizioni del chitarrista cubano Leo Brouwer. La scelta cade sul "El Decameron negro" e "Preludio Epigràmaticos". L'intepretazione che ascolterete non lascerà spazio a parole.
A chiudere 4 "Contradanzas" di Manuel Saumell a coronare un ottimo lavoro che rappresenta Cuba, con i suoni, la musica, i timbri e tanto altro.
E' uno di quegli album che non può mancare nella "libreria" musicale personale poiché fornisce un modo alternativo di divertirsi con la chitarra oltre che un ascolto di ritmi e temi non convenzionali.

Cuban guitarist Rene Izquierdo presents a fantastic album whose title heralds a musical journey through his beloved homeland.
Incisive rhythms, dreamy themes, typical South American sounds are some of the elements that immediately project the listener into his Cuban world: "Son del Barrio" opens this journey with its overwhelming rhythm and Rene uses many of the colours of his guitar to give an idea of how varied his "neighbourhood" and the life in it can be.
The technical precision and the pressing themes make the tracks flow as if they were goals reached and surpassed.
Rene is always impeccable and precise in his musical intention: there is no piece that leaves room for doubt as to what the player meant; his precision places him among the best interpreters of the guitar scene. nostalgic, melancholic moments are alternated with other smiling and alive moments as one returns to after a long time. An accurate listening is recommended in order to catch those timbric details that characterize Rene's interpretation.
The inclusion of compositions by Cuban guitarist Leo Brouwer is not to be missed. The choice falls on "El Decameron negro" and "Preludio Epigràmaticos". The interpretation you will hear will leave no room for words.
To close 4 "Contradanzas" by Manuel Saumell to crown an excellent work that represents Cuba, with sounds, music, timbres and much more.
It is one of those albums that cannot be missing in your personal music "library" as it provides an alternative way to have fun with the guitar as well as listening to unconventional rhythms and themes.
